2023 Obi constituency: Women reaffirms support for female candidate, Hon. Hauwa Bawa

A head of 2023 elections, thousands of women from Obi 1 constituency declared their support for the State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Hauwa Mohammed Bawa on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

They cried out that for the very first time a female was elected during party primaries to represent the constituency in the State House of Assembly.

“We are calling on our male counterparts to support our candidate in order to make a difference in legislative activities. They stated.

While speaking to our correspondent some women expressed optimism that if elected, Obi 1 and the entire state will witness tremendous changes.

A constituent and women leader, Mrs. Otusha Omame Akonshanta from Agwatashi ward gave reasons they resolved to support the candidature of, Hon. Hauwa Bawa, saying, it is not far from her numerous contribution towards liberating women and children of Obi Local Government Area.

“Let me be frank with you, so many of us are beneficiaries of her gesture that our economic standard has improved in measure.

“Therefore this is the right time for all women across this constituency to show the world how grateful we are. She added.

Also in her contribution, Khadijat Ibrahim Suleiman from Daddare ward stated that the women match is to show solidarity to Hon. Hauwa Bawa to mark her name in the guineas book of history as fist woman to represent us in the state house of assembly.

“The fact remain that this is our time to go to the lawmaking process in the State.

Another member of the group, Martha Adoyele called on all other candidates from opposition parties not to waste their time and resources campaigning for same seat.

“Because we are not going to sell our right to anyone else than, Hon. Hauwa Bawa (Chokalin Daddare).

Our correspondent who was at the venue of the rally reports that women in their multiple numbers bowed to support all female candidate in 2023 elections.
