Kogi guber: Bello’s Chief of Staff pick N50 million APC expression of interest, nomination form

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC Kogi governorship primary election slated for April 10, 2023, the Chief of Staff to governor Yahaya Bello, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu has picked the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the race.

The Chief of staff who hails from Kogi Central with the governor after picking the forms assured that he would consolidate on the giant strides of governor Bello, if he succeeds him.

He gave the assurance amid mamooth crowd of admirers who were mobilized from the three Senatorial districts to Abuja, while stressing optimism that he will win the election.

While at the APC headquarters, Asuku claimed that Yahaya Bello was loved by all Kogites and he would consolidate on his legacies from January 26, 2024 when Bello would have handed over the baton of leadership to him.

According to him, the outstanding performance of Yahaya Bello and his leadership in the State would be replicated in such a manner that all Kogites will be proud of him and his own administration.

Disclosing his maxim: “Consolidation 2023”, the COS said, Bello has redefined leadership in Kogi state since he took over power in 2015.

“Tribalism, bigotry and all forms of sentiments and anomalies have been buried. Kogites now live as one indivisible entity, he has changed winner takes all to winner favours all”, Asuku said.

“I’m only coming to fuse-in on the agenda of my mentor which remains unity, security, health, agriculture and industrialisation, education, and accountability, and I assure every Kogite a sense of belonging through equitable distribution of dividends of democracy”.

Meanwhile, checks by our reporter showed that it was only Yahaya Bello’s Chief of Staff that has purchased the governorship expression of interest and nomination forms since the sale was announced by the APC headquarters on 30th January, 2023.
