Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani dumps PRP

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani has dumped the the Political party he contested for Senate in 2019, Peoples Redemption Party.
In a letter of his intention to leave the party titled: “Formal notification to step aside from PRP”, dated 9th July, 2021, but which was seen by CAPITAL POST on Monday, the Civil Rights activist said he was stepping aside from the party effective from the date of the letter.
Though, the letter didn’t contain reasons he left, he however expressed optimism that they would continue to relate while struggling, given that himself and the members of the Party have come a long way.
The letter which was addressed to the Ward Chairman, Ward 6, Tudun Wada Kaduna read: “I wish to formally notify you of my decision to step aside from the Peoples Redemption Party.
“I hope we shall continue to relate in the spirit of our struggle, our shared history and our common ideological principles.
It is recalled that Senator Shehu Sani won the Senatorial election to represent Kaduna Central Senatorial district on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The letter didn’t state the party he was heading to ahead of 2023 general election.
