2023 Benue gov’norship: Group pushes for Otorm’s CPS, Akase

A pressure group under the aegis of Concern Benue Indigenes in Nasarawa State (CBILN), has tipped the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Terver Akase, to succeed his principal in 2023 general election.
The group said, it would convince governor Samuel Ortom to anoint Mr. Akase and work for his consensus candidacy in order to continue with Dr. Ortom’s good legacy after he would have finished his second tenure in 2023.
Coordinator of the group, James Agashi and the Secretary, Okpanachi Orokpo, in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lafia which was obtained by CAPITAL POST, they pointed out that Mr. Akase has unparalleled commitment to the socio-economic development of Benue, adding that his conduct so far has shown him a welfarist.
CBILN insisted that Terver Akase towered above all those wanting to succeed Ortom, given his antecedent as a fast learner, even as they vowed to support him to the fullest.
Part of the statement read: “We decided to pull our strength for the emergence of a technocrat, public servant who knows the needs of the masses, an aspirant who has the experience in dealing with the public, not a politician”, the group stated.
“Akase knows the masses much more , his relationship with the people which has given us the assurance that the CPS would consolidate on the gain of his boss and influence physical development, impact on the lives of Benue people as he has been doing even at his level”.
The group called on the incumbent governor, Samuel Ortom to throw his weight behind Akase who will consolidate on his achievements for the overall development of Benue State as consultations for the 2023 governorship election continues.
Akase hail from Konshisha and is a journalist to the core who belonges to several professional bodies. Besides, he has managed informations in the bureaucratic and political circles well since henwqa appointed as CPS to the governor. Benue gov’norship: Group pushes for Otorm’s CPS, Akase
