Buhari’s Media Aide, Garba Shehu confirms robbery incident in villa

Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu has confirmed armed robbery report in the villa.

He said a gang of robbers who were fully armed attempted an attack on the residences of Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and that of Administrative Officer, Abubakar Maikano inside Aso Rock Presidential villa, Abuja.

Garba said on his Facebook and verified twitter that the Chief of Staff had confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am on Monday.

Garba said their operation was unsuccessful amid reports making the round that some vital documents were carted away by the armed robbers.

CAPITAL POST couldn’t confirm report that the Chief of Staff and the Administrative Officwr have relocated feom their residences temporarily before filing this report, but Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa, had assured well wishers that there was nothing to worry about from the incident. adsbygoogle || []).push({});
