2023: Nasarawa group earmarks N50 million to purchase nomination form for governor Sule

As 2023 political activities picks up gradually, a group known as ‘Awareness Campaign’ in Nasarawa State has called on Governor Abdullahi Sule to re-contest for second term in office to continue with the marvelous developmental projects he started across board.
The group leader, Ibrahim Abdullahi Adon Garin Lafia, made the call on behalf of other members of the association in a rally to support, Gov. Sule’s 2 years in office held in Lafia the capital city of Nasarawa state.
“We as awareness of campaign group have earmarked the sum of N50 million to purchase nomination and expression of interest form for you as part of our support for your second bid in office. He told Gov. Sule.
“Members of this group cut cross all the 13 and 16 Development Areas and it was form about 8 years back and for the record, we have resolved that any attempt to turndown our offer it would land you in court.
While enumerating some of your achievements recorded so far in your administration which includes security, education, water supply, road construction, industries among others.
A motion was moved and seconded by members of the group where they passed a vote of confidence on Gov. Sule urged him to accept their call, adding that the voice of people is the voice of God.
“The essence of this rally is to join other well meaning citizens of the state in celebrating your 2 years in office and successful piloting affairs of the state within this period.
Responding, Gov. Abdullah Sule thanked the group for identifying some of his laudable projects and programmes targeted at better the lot of people in the state.
The governor told the gathering that government will not achieve its desires and goals for the people where peace and brotherhood is no longer a watch word.
“I want to use this moment of your support to me and appeal to all of us to be in forefront in preaching peace in our homes, community, territory for meaningful development to take it course.
Gov. Sule said that government under his leadership has prioritised education with a view to train quality leaders to run the state in the future.
” I want to confirm to all of you here that my recent tour to all local governments has given me the opportunity to know more about problems facing our people especially those at the interior and we are going to do our possible best in putting things in the right direction.
“For your calls asking me to re-contest is not yet time for that but once we reach the bridge we will find how to cross it.
The group also presented an award to Gov. Sule for his sacrifices in strengthen economy of the state.
