Kidnapped Lagos Pastor found dead after payment of N2 million ransom



Pastor Frederick Aramuwa who was kidnapped on his way from Lagos to Ondo on 31st March, 2021 has been found dead in Ondo forest.

The deceased who hails from Ondo State was kidnapped along the Ipele/Idoani Road in Ondo State while travelling to Ifira-Akoko in Ondo State.

His abductors earlier demanded for a N10 million ransom, but was reduced to N2 million after negotiation by his kinsmen while a rigorous search for him was mounted.

The sum of N2 million was eventually paid to his captors only for his lifeless body to be found at a location in the forest after the kidnappers collected the money.

His remains was evacuated and deposited at a morgue Ipe-Akoko Ondo State.

Ondo State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro when contacted on Sunday by reporters, confirmed the incident

The Police’s spokesman further disclosed that those kidnapped along with the Lagos based Clergy have been rescued by the police. adsbygoogle || []).push({});

He assured that security agents were on the trail of the perpetrators, stating that they would be apprehended and brought to justice very soon.
