Ahead of the anniversary of the US strike that killed terrorist leader Qassem Soleimani, Iranian media released new footage showing his final moments before a US drone fired a lethal missile on the tarmac of the Baghdad International Airport.
Soleimani, who was the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force that was responsible for exporting the Iranian ideology and aggression worldwide, was assassinated after pro-Iranian forces under his apparent direction tried to storm the US Embassy in Iraq and also targeted other US installations, killing an American.
The new footage shows Soleimani’s plane landing in the airport, after which he emerges. It then shows the US attack and its aftermath.
Just recently, Iran had another official assassinated – the architect of its clandestine nuclear program Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Tehran has blamed Israel for the action.
