Nasarawa is home base to APC in Nigeria – LG boss

The Executive Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Hon. Aminu Mua’zu Maifata has declared that, Nasarawa State is the laboratory home of All Progress Congress in the entire country.

He made the declaration at the occasion organised to receive former member, House of Representatives, Hon.

Joseph Haruna Kigbo who defected from PDP to APC alongside with over 10,000 of his supporters.

Maifata who traced the history said, Nasarawa as the only CPC controlled State in 2011 pave way for President Muhammadu Buhari to be part of merger which metamorphosed as APC.

“This give president Buhari an opportunity to pick presidential ticket in 2015.

“It is clear that we remain the home of All Progress Congress hence there is a need for extra commitment by all members of this great party in 2023. He maintained.

Maifata explained further that the coming home of Hon. Joseph Haruna Kigbo winning election in 2023 is guarantee, PDP, has already collapsed in the State.

He described, Governor Abdullahi Sule as a bridge builder across 13 Local Government irrespective of political affiliation.

“I have no doubt in my mind that with what we are experiencing courtesy of our amiable governor Sule, in no distant time, all other political parties will be submerged into APC.

“Let me inform you that since assumption of office, Governor Sule has impacted positively in the lives of people of the State through provision of healthcare, schools, road artwork, physical infrastructures among others.

He used the medium to appealed to people of the state to come out enmass to participate in the ongoing APC registration/revalidation exercise across the country which the state is not an exception.

Our correspondent report that, Hon Kigbo was elected in 2011 to represent the people of Lafia/Obi federal constituency at the green chamer and later decamped to PDP.

The occasion was attended by political timbers and calibers in APC within and outside the State.
