Benue governor back to work after battling COVID-19

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has resumed work on Wednesday after testing negative for COVID-19 and certified fit.
Barelyb three weeks ago,the governor tested positive for COVID-19, hence, he left on isolation, but on Tuesday, he told newsmen during a news conference in Makurdi, that a fresh test result carried out on him returned negative on Tuesday.
Most of his aides who interacts most often were tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago.
Ortom appreciated the people of Benue State, his political office holders and others for their prayers that saw him overcome his health challenges.
Speaking on the need for everyone to make themselves available for test, the governor urged Benue people to continue to observe the protocol for the prevention of the virus.
The governor further emphasised on the wearing of face masks, use of sanitizers, regular hand washing and physical distancing while encouraging the people not to be afraid of going for COVID-19 test as only doing so would help in containing the spread of the disease.
