Banditry attacks leaves Imam, 2 others dead in Kaduna village

Bandits again struck Kawaran Rafi village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State murdering the Chief Imam, Sheikh
Danleeman Isah and two other villagers.
Confirming the attack, Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel was quoted in a statement to have said, bandits invaded the village and went straight to the Chief Imam’s residence and killed and killed him.
Aruwan said, nothing was taken after killing the Chief Imam, thereby suggested to be a pre-meditated attack.
“In what appears to be a pre-meditated attack, the bandits shot him dead and left the location without taking any items or hostages”, the statement said.
There were suspicions that the Islamic Cleric was killed for consistently preaching kidnapping and banditry, a development that did not go down well with the criminals that have been operating in Southern Kaduna.
Also bandits have killed Ardo Musa Layi of Kajuru local government, who was kidnapped by armed men in October 2020 for his advocacy against killing, kidnapping and cattle rustling.
In another development, security agencies have reported the murder of the Sarkin Yaki of Godogodo, Mr Yohanna Abu, by a gang of kidnappers.
