Anambra women who bath 10 year old maid with hot water remanded in Onitsha Correctional Centre

Two women who bathed a 10 year house maid, Chidimma Nworie Ani with hot water have been arrested and are cooling in Police net.
The victim sustained injuries all over her body and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention on 5th January, 2021.
The two women, Nneka Ayaene, ‘f’ aged 34 and Chinenye Okoh ‘f’ aged 22, both of Ndiowu town in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra were arrested by the Police following a formal complaint of child abuse and grievous assault.
They allegedly assaulted their house help one Chidimma Nworie Ani ‘f’ aged about 10 years by pouring her hot water which caused her injuries all over her body due to her inability to wait and return the bowl of water she brought for the suspects.
The Police reportedly rushed the victim to the Best Hospital, Oko, for medical attention which she is now responding to treatment.
Consequently,the suspects have been charged to magistrate court Nanka for prosecution after conclusion of investigation.
Case adjourned to 10/2/2021 and suspects remanded at the Correctional Centre Onitsha.
