Maina yet to come out of hiding 24 hours Ndume was jailed

The plight of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume worsened on Wednesday in Kuje prison where he was being detained as the suspect, Abdulrasheed Maina who he surtied was yet to come out of hiding.
CAPITAL POST reports that the Federal High Court Abuja, which was presided by Justice Okon Abang ordered the detention of Senator Ndume representing Borno South Senatorial district for allowing the former Chairman of Pension Reformed Task Team to jump bail.
Abdulrasheed Maina who was bailed sometime in May, 2020 on the strength of Ndume’s bail bond has disappeared into thin air and effort for his guarantor to produce him to face trial over alleged N2 billion money laundering failed as Ndume kept telling the trial judge that he couldn’t see the suspect again.
Meanwhile, the Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed Thursday for the hearing of the bail application filed by Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, who has been detained in prison since Monday.
Justice Abang after sending Ndume to jail gave conditions that the runaway Abdulrasheed Maina be produce in Court or his property located in Asokoro be sold and proceeds be paid into the Federation with receipt evidence tendered in Court before he would be released.
Maina, a former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Team, is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on charges of money laundering involving N2 billon.
