Bello told to stop wasting money on BBNaija winner, pay domestic staff allowances

Kogi Concerned Citizens KCC, has advised the State government to rather affect its workers positively rather than lavishing scarce funds on BBNaija winner in the last edition.
This is at the backdrop of the lingering non payment of the Governor’s domestic staff allowances for over one year now, without excuse.
A statement issued by John Adeogun, Convener of the group, and made available to CAPITAL POST on Sunday, it accussed the Kogi Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello of playing national politics with scarce resources of the state, rather than the welfare of the people.
Adeogun avered that a State that cannot do the least of the demands of the people over its refusal to pay its direct staffers their entitlements since August last year.
He says workers have been suffering untold hardships while at work without weekends or going on annual leave, yet Kogi state government prefers to splash money on BBNaija winner, at the detriment of its own immediate workers.
Security aides and other domestic staffers of the governor had cried out severally over the refusal to pay staffers attached to the Governor and the Government House workers for over one year their travelling allowances.
