Nasarawa governor advocates honesty in tackling insecurity in Nigeria

Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule has called for realistic and honest approach in tackling insecurity of lives and property of citizens of the country.

He stated this while delivering a lecture at the National Institute for Security Studies, NISS, Abuja with participants of the executive intelligence management course 13 and faculty members of the institution.

“The theme of the lecture, Promoting National Security and Sustainable Development,” Sule recounted how Nasarawa State leveraged on active collaboration with the federal government and security agencies in curbing insecurity.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Abdullahi Sule, Comrade Ibrahim Addara quoted his boss to showered praises on President Muhammadu Buhari and the nation’s security agencies for assisting the State in its fight against violent crimes.

“The interactive session with participants drawn from 18 agencies in Nigeria as well as Ghana and the Gambia provided Governor Sule a platform to speak on his administration’s efforts at securing the state and putting in place policies to make it conducive for investors. The statement countinued.

Sule also shared his bitter experience on the farmers/herders crises, banditry, reforms in the solid mineral sectors and other contemporary challenges.

The fourty-nine participants include senior officers from the military, intelligence, security, paramilitary, law enforcement and regulatory agencies amongst others.
