Maulud: Nasarawa House Speaker solicit prayers for the nation

As Muslims marked the birthday of prophet Muhammad, (Peace Be Upon Him), the Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has called for intensive prayers for the nation to overcome its emerging challenges.

This was contained in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna, copy of which was made available to CAPITAL POST in Lafia, quoting, Speaker to have felicitated with Muslim Ummah world wide.

“I impolore you to straightening the bound of peace,unity and love for all which are the virtues of prophet Muhammad.

The statement further appealed to traditional, community and religion leaders as well as youths and stakeholders to intensify preaching and campaign for peace, unity and tolerance among people with a view to the adherence to the laws of the land.

The Speaker described peace as essential for societal and national growth and prosperity, while he called on all Nigerians to embrace peace at all times to build an egalitarian society and prosperous nation.

He prayed to God that the birthday of the prophet will usher in a new dawn for humanity in general.
