Kogi LG poll: Traditional ruler, others remanded in Koton-Karfe prison for two weeks

A traditional ruler, Alhaji Nasir Momoh and 30 others in Adavi Local Government Area in Kogi Central Senatorial district have been remanded in Koton-Karfe prison by the Magistrate Court for two weeks.
Alhaji Nasiru who is a second class traditional ruler Asema Uka Otumi-Ajoko alledgedly raised the alarm that an unpopular aspirant was being imposed to be Chairman of Adavi Local Government ahead of Kogi Local Government Council elections slated for December 12, 2020.
The alarm, according to the State Police Command, was capable of igniting crisis in the area.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor (SSA) security, Mr. Joseph Omuya was said to have ordered the detention of Adavi’s traditional ruler and 30 others.
