Ex-Council Chairman shot at Anyigba by unknown gunmen is dead

The former Chairman of Dekina Local Government Council and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Hon. Adejo Akowe is dead.
He died as a result of gunshot wounds at the National Hospital, Abuja where he was taken for treatment late Friday after a week he was shot.
He was said to have participated in the endorsement exercise of Dekina Local Government Area that produced Prince Ishaq as candidate of the APC ahead of November 20th Local Government Council election in Kogi State.
According to reports obtained by CAPITAL POST, the deceased politician was shot by a yet-to-be identified gunmen while eating at a Domibite restaurant in Anyigba after he returned from APC event which held on 9th October, 2020.
The assassin having shot late Adejo Akowe immediately disappeared and he was immediately rushed to the Maria Gorretti Hospital, Anyigba and later to Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, when he was moved to National Hospital, Abuja. push({});
Late Adejo was a political leader in Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency and was greatly involved in power brokerage.
