Nigeria need prayers for national development – Fintiri

The Executive Governor of Adamawa State RT.Hon. Umaru Fintiri has said that the nation needs prayer more than ever before at this time of nation building.
He stated this recently in Yola Adamawa State while playing host to the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev.
Yakubu Pam in Government House, Yola during his sensitisation visit to the state.The Governor who spoke through the Secretary to the state government, Hon. Bashir Ahmad stated that his administration would continue to do everything possible to provide the enabling environment for their citizens to practice their religion.
He said that the Unity of the people is very paramount to his administration and as such the government would continue to ensure that the people live in harmony with one another.
The Governor reiterated that the government was able to tackle the insecurity situation in the State because of the unity and unanimity of purpose of the people of Adamawa State.
Governor Fintiri expressed satisfaction with the positive contributions of Christians in the State.Accordiing to him,”I appreciate greatly what the Christendom are doing in the State”.
He promised to do everything possible to ensure that Christians in Adamawa State are able to perform this year,s annual pilgrimage exercise.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission Rev Yakubu Pam thanked the Governor for his wonderful support over the years in the sponsorship of Christians to the Holy land.
He recalled that the state played leading role in the sponsorship of Christians to the Holy land in recent past.
He informed the Governor that he was in the State for a one week sensitisation visit preparatory to the commencement of this year’s December general Pilgrimage exercise.
The NCPC boss assured the Governor that inspite of of challenges caused by COVID 19 pandemic this year,that he was sanguuined that the Lord would turn the fortunes of the state and the nation around.
He commended the Governor for all his efforts in uniting the people and his massive infrastructural development in the State.
