Breaking: Tanker explosion leaves many people dead in Kogi [Pictures]

A fuel loaded tanker explosion in Felele part of Lokoja on Wednesday morning exploded in flames with heavy casualties of lives and properties.
Reports said no fewer than 30 people were burnt including students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
The Kogi State Polytechnic which is located at Felele, scene of the accident has fully reopened after closure for months due to COVID-19 pandemic.
CAPITAL POST in Lokoja learnt that an incoming vehicle rammed into the tanker with loud explosion that caught attention of people around the vicinity.
The accident occurred at about 8.30 according to an eye witness account.
Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and firefighters were immediately mobilised to the scen, but before they could be available, lives including vehicles and shops

Burnt bodies were being evacuated from the scene at the time of this repor.
