Breaking: ‘If I perish, I perish’, says Mailafia as he honours DSS invitation

Dr. Obadiah Mailafia is becoming a political hero, courtesy of the Department of State Security Services who invited him for the third time to appear at Plateau office of the secret police on Monday.
The former Central Bank Deputy governor honoured Monday’s third time invitation, but addressed sympathisers who were waiting in their hundreds before he entered into the DSS complex.
He arrived at 11am and immediately granted an interview to journalists, saying: “I am ready to perish for speaking the mind of millions of Nigerians over the incessant killings of innocent citizens going on presently in the country.”
He said “I don’t know why I have been invited again this is the 3rd time that they are inviting me to their office and I am honouring it. ”
He added “there has not been any instances that warrant any crises in the country after the interview which I granted a radio station in Lagos. ”
Dr. Mailafia in the controversial interview with a radio station in Lagos said, a serving northern Governor is a Boko Haram Commander, a disclosure that did not go down well with the security communities.
He was the Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the 2019 general election.
