N-Power: Group writes Buhari, Minister to increase number of enrollees

The People’s Parliament, a pro-democracy group has appealed to the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari and the Minster of Humanitatian Affairs, Social Development and Disaster Management, Sadiya Umar-Farouk to increase the Batch C, N-Power enrollment from 500,000 to 2M to accommodate more unemployed Nigerians.
This developement is based on the mass embracement of the current Batch C programme by many Nigerians, whose economic situation is characterised with uncertainty.
A statement issued by Dayo Yusuf for the group, and sent to CAPITAL POST on Wednesday in Abuja, said, the decision will also justify the present people centred policies of the current t administration.
The Media officer pleaded that: “the Federal government through the Ministry of Humanitatian Affairs, Social Development and Disaster Management that the decision if not taken, will deny many Nigerians of social services in terms of engagement, as more than 5 Million Nigerians will enrol in the programmes. adsbygoogle || []).push({});
He said the current enrollment of 500,000 has reduced to the barest minimum the incidence of idleness, indolence, social problems bedevilling the country overtime.
Dayo commended the present Minister for a thorough job in the Ministry, interms of disaster manangeent, emergencies and social safety nets to Nigerians .
He also urge the Ministry to carry out a genuine transition programs for both Batch A and B of the program span from 2016,2018.
