Former governor, Ajimobi down with COVID-19, not dead – Aide

The former governor of Oyo State, who is also the deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as widely speculated.
His Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Bolaji Tunji in a Facebook post on Thursday, denied that his principal has passed away, but asked Nigerians to pray for him.
He wrote: “Kindly disregard all the rumours, just rumours. In all, we remain prayerful,” he posted on Facebook.
Ajimobi’s reported death has been trending on Twitter.
It was also reported by a number of websites.
But credible reports indicated that the politician remains in a critical condition, having been on life support at a hospital in Lagos for over a week.
He is believed to be down with COVID-19 and has been in a critical condition because of underlying medical conditions.
