COVID-19: Former Reps Speaker, Na’abba stranded in UK

The erstwhile Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba has been stranded in the United Kingdom as a result of COVID-19 pandemic that has made flights unavailable for passengers.
Na’Abba who was the Speaker during President Obasanjo administration between 1999 to 2007 travelled to the United Kingdom for undisclosed reasons, but could not come back before international flights were stopped.
He is in London according to reports reaching CAPITAL POST.
Meanwhile, there were media reports not (CAPITAL POST) that he has passed away in Kano on Friday which he has reacted immediately that he is alive.
Debunking death rumours, the former lawmaker through a NASS Legislators Forum WhatsApp said:
“For the information of all my colleagues; I’m hale and hearty here in London.
“I will be back in Abuja as soon as flights are available.
“Those spread such rumors will definitely pay a high price for their mischief.
“Cheers to all of you.”
It is recalled that Nigerian government through the Federal Ministry of Aviation stopped international flights closed one months now as a way to curbing the spread of northern pandemic
