COVID-19: Lai Mohammed laments poor adherence to preventive measures

Minister of Information, Culture and National Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has dissatisfaction with the way Nigerians observes preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus.
He said so many people are resistant to complying with the measures which was the only effective solution to steming the tide of COVID-19.
Speaking on TVC on Saturday, the Minister wondered at lacklustre attitude of Nigerians in the face of the deadly disease.
According to him, some Nigerians see coronavirus as disease of the elite, while others did not believe it exists.
“It’s unfortunate that people don’t want to observe preventive measures which is in the interest of all.
“Until now, some people see it as disease of the elite, while others don’t believe it exists.
“For now, there is no known drugs that cures coronavirus anywhere in the world, so social distancing is the only way to solving the disease for now.
