NCDC confirms case of Coronavirus in FCT

National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed a new case of coronavirus in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The NCDC, an agency under the Federal Ministry of Health made this announcement via its Twitter handle a few minutes ago.
“One new case of #COVID19 has been confirmed in FCT, Nigeria. As at 11:00 am on the 22nd of March, there are 27 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria.
“Of the 27 confirmed cases, 2 have been discharged with no death” tweeted the NCDC.

Today, Sunday, March 22, 2020, Nigeria has announced five cases of coronavirus in the country. One of the cases was identified in Oyo state while the remaining three were in Lagos.
There have been no recorded deaths of the coronavirus in Nigeria since February 27 when an Italian man tested positive to the novel virus.
The Italian index patient was discharged on Friday, March 20, 2020.
