Breaking: Senate shuts down over coronation virus pandemic

Nigeria Senate on Tuesday closed to Parliamentary activities for two weeks over the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
The adjournment was announced by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan after a two hour close door session.
They are to resume on 7th April, 2020.
Meanwhile, they asked the Federal government to devote funds specifically to fight the pandemic adding that states across the Federation should also be assisted with funds.
Lawan enjoined Senators to be on watch out for any emergency, while he asked the Senate Committee on Health and Communicable disease to move into action to ensure proper coordination of activities.
CAPITAL POST recalls that the former Managing Director of Petroleum Pipeline Marketing Company (PPMC), Alhaji Suleiman Achimugu died of coronavirus in Abuja on Monday.
