The kidnapped students who are identical twins happened on the same route in less than one week after a Naval officer and other persons were ambushed and abducted.
A source who told our correspondent lamented:
“This is no ordinary alarm, nor attention seeking noise making to distract government”; the spate of insecurity and kidnapping is .unbearable.
“I woke up to the bad news of two students of KSU (identical twins), kidnapped on Anyigba – Ankpa road yesterday.
“This same short route was where some persons, including a Naval personnel were ambushed and led away captive, few days earlier.
“Anyigba – Itobe – Ajaokuta is almost a free zone for rampaging kidnappers. Since about a week now, no day passes without news of abductions on this route, the day before yesterday, it was a whole bus load.
Kabba – Lokoja, Okene – Lokoja, Lokoja – Abuja, no route is safe anymore.
Please let the authorities do more on security in and around Kogi State.
“It is abundantly clear that there is an increasing resurgence in the activities if these devils in society”
